A BETTER WAY TO BUILD

SIMS SCIP Panels

Structural Concrete Insulated Panels

Our Structural Concrete Insulated Panels (SCIP) are built to be efficient, resilient, sustainable, and more versatile than traditional materials. We manufacture each panel to your specific design and building needs.

What Are SCIP Panels?

SIMS panels, known as SCIP Panels (Structural Concrete Insulated Panels), are engineered to offer durability, sustainability, and efficiency. They represent a modern solution in a U.S. market that has been lacking innovation. Our panels are crafted using sustainable raw materials with minimal environmental impact. At the core lies construction-grade polystyrene, sandwiched between double-galvanized steel wire mesh on both sides.

These mesh layers are reinforced by double connectors for enhanced strength. Upon assembly, a layer of shotcrete is applied to both sides of the panel, further reinforcing it and ensuring exceptional insulation. Originating over four decades ago in Italy, Vero’s technology has since proliferated, with 77 manufacturing plants worldwide producing over one billion square feet of panels. This extensive reach underscores the reliability and effectiveness of our solution.

Single Panel

Used for walls, partitions, cladding, floors, and roofs.

Double Panel

Used for R.C. walls, such as load-bearing walls and ground.

Curved Panel

Used for curved panels to create different shapes and cover large surfaces.

Stair Panel

Used for lightweight and resistant staircases.

Floor Panel

Used for walls, partitions, cladding, floors, and roofs.

Landing Panel

FAQS For SCIP Panels

Is it possible for SIMS to create panels of custom sizes?

Sims tailors each panel to suit your unique design and construction specifications. Our panels have a width of 48 inches and can extend up to 40 feet in length, depending on your particular needs.

How are SIMS Panels characterized as being resistant to disasters?

Our panels have undergone rigorous testing to surpass standard building code mandates. These encompass specifications for withstanding hurricane force winds, fire resistance, tornadoes, extreme temperatures, and earthquakes. For precise building criteria, we advise reviewing your local building codes.

What aspects contribute to the sustainability of SIMS Panels?

Our panels are manufactured from two raw materials: double galvanized steel wire mesh and expanded polystyrene. Steel is sustainable and one of the most recycled products on earth. SIMS manufactures polystyrene blocks without using any toxic chemicals. Not only that, but our panels are 100% recyclable.

Are SIMS panels approved for use in every state within the United States?

Indeed, SIMS Panels have undergone testing and comply with or surpass building code standards set by the ICC (International Code Council), IRC (International Residential Code), IECC (International Energy Conservation Code), as well as FBC-B and FBC-R (Florida Building Code, Building/Residential).

Does SIMS offer a warranty for their panels?

We offer a 1-year manufacturer warranty against panel defects.
